Chinese art workshop

With the recent success of our professional networking event, we were delighted to introduce our Art Appreciation and Chinese Painting workshop, sponsored by the Federation of Chinese Associations of Manchester (FCAM).

This is an introductory class for an experience to explore the beauty of Western and Chinese art culture. During the event, you will have a chance to develop the basic concept of appreciation to Western and Chinese art, experience the Chinese brush painting and learn the techniques behind the process.

In addition to learning beginner techniques, you will also have the opportunity to create your own masterpiece based on a still life image to take home.

We are very fortunate to invite Duohan Xu as our guest instructor for this event, to take you through this elegant and tranquil journey into Chinese artwork.

Duohan is an experienced contemporary artist, art teacher and entrepreneur, with his works displayed in various exhibitions and has been commissioned works on many occasions.

Many of his works are influenced by eastern artists using western methodologies, and he is passionate in creating diversity in various art forms from still life painting to sculptures and designs.

Aside from cultivating and capturing the serenity of Chinese brush painting, there will also be a brief intorduction to art investments as well as time to mingle with fellow peers over refreshments.

Date: 30 June 2019 (Sunday)

Time: 2:00pm–5:30pm (2:00pm-2:30pm: registration and networking session)

Location: Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA), Market Buildings, Thomas Street, Northern Quarter, Manchester, M4 1EU

Price: £16 per person (including all materials and equipment, your creation to take home at the end and refreshments provided throughout the event)

Early bird discount: £12 per person (register before 15 June)
